We had a fantastic time this past week performing in Draper and in Blacksburg! On May 11 we played for the New River Valley Regional Commission at The Draper Mercantile. It was a great night for the local community to come together and celebrate their successes and future plans; we were thrilled to be part of it! If you haven't been to the "Merc'", definitely check it out: it's a Trading Company that supplies a wide array of things. From great food and baked goods, to wonderful regional (and non-regional) gifts, to outdor recreation apparel and bike rentals…even a full service florist! It's definitely worth the trip.
We were fortunate to be in the presence of a very talented photographer, Matt Ross, who sent us some professional shots – yee haw! Here're some of the highlights:
On Saturday, we braved the chilly May weather (what gives?) to play for the happy people waiting in line for delicious food at The Ruritan Fish Fry in Blacksburg, VA. Despite the wind, people came out in throngs to support the Mt. Tabor Ruritan. If you haven't yet made it out…what are you waiting for? There will be plenty of future events this summer with some very talented musicians playing…who doesn't love fried fish?
Until next time…support live music!
