After such a busy summer and fall,it was great to have some time off to relax and recharge. During the warmer months, we were lucky to play some new venues and several weddings. It was lots of fun to call dances and teach the Virginia Reel as friends and family enjoyed celebrating their special day! We even set up a Wedding page on this website with lots of pictures of couples dancing.
Returning to Bristol Rhythm and Roots Festival was exciting with a concert at the Bristol Theatre and entertaining at K.P.Duty. Hosting the Blacksburg old time jam at the Farmer's Market has been lots of fun and in the fall, we enjoyed kicking things off at the first old time jam at the Alexander Black House Museum. Good times at the Dogtown Roadhouse in Floyd, the annual square dance at. Camp Legacy with the Hoorah Cloggers, and a live radio show on WUVT's Local Zone. We were glad to have a chance to try out our new cowboy songs.
As the weather turned cooler, we loved playing at the Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival, watching all the families get their pumpkins.Blacksburg Square Dance was great fun at Phil's barn with a large crowd of stomping dancers in their jeans and flannel.
We have had good times playing at Due South BBQ,returning to the old time stage at BrewDo, and were very pleased to be included with all the talented acts at the Side Door Revue. It was a very successful fundraiser for the Radford Food Pantry!
It is exciting and so much fun to be recording another CD! A great way to pass the time on snowy days. We expect that we will have a lot of good tunes in the can by time spring rolls around.
Check out our events as we will be playing all around the New River Valley. Hope to see you out on the town sometime soon!
